This article describes a systems-level process improvement effort in the United Kingdom to raise the standard of clinical care for suicidal patients within a National Health Service (NHS) system called NAVIGO. This system has successfully enhanced their suicide-specific training in assessment and intervention and has used CAMS as their main intervention for significantly suicidal patients in their service. The article describes their assessment and triage process in their overall effort and reports some promising preliminary results of their efforts to significantly improve suicide-related mental health care for their population.
